Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with the service. If it’s not working out, here’s how refunds work.

7-day money-back guarantee

New customers get a full refund if you cancel within 7 days of your first payment. No questions asked.

Conditions:

  • First-time customers only (one refund per person, ever)
  • Must be your first subscription with us
  • Doesn’t apply to renewals, upgrades, or additional servers

After the first 7 days

We don’t offer prorated refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, your server stays active until the end of your current billing period.

Why no prorated refunds?
We’re a small operation. Processing partial refunds for every cancellation would eat up time we’d rather spend keeping servers running well. The 7-day window gives you enough time to decide if the service works for you.

How to cancel

Email support@shrug.games with your account email and we’ll process the cancellation. We’ll confirm once it’s done.

After cancellation:

  • Your server stays active until the end of the current billing period
  • No further charges will be made
  • Server data is deleted 30 days after your subscription ends (download it before then if you want to keep it)

How to request a refund

Email support@shrug.games within 7 days of your first payment. Include:

  • Your account email
  • Brief reason for the refund (helps us improve)

We’ll process the refund within 5 business days. It may take a few additional days to appear on your statement depending on your bank.

What happens to your data

When you receive a refund:

  • Your server is stopped immediately
  • Server data is deleted within 24 hours
  • Account access is revoked

If you just cancel (no refund), you keep access until the end of your billing period.

Exceptions

We may refuse refunds if:

  • You’ve already received a refund from us before
  • Your account was terminated for AUP violations
  • There’s evidence of abuse (chargebacks, multiple accounts, etc.)

Disputes

If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us first, we may terminate your account. Chargebacks cost us money and time. Please reach out to support@shrug.games first and we’ll work it out.
